Honestly, I was strictly a Dragon Shield and Katana user for years, so I was skeptical to try something new. But these Protech sleeves are legit. The shuffle feel is incredible, super smooth right out of the box, and they don’t stick or clump up like some of my older decks. They hold up just as well as the expensive brands but cost way less. I’ve already swapped my main Magic and Pokemon decks over to these. Highly recommend if you want top-tier quality without the price tag. Plus, it feels good supporting a US based company.

I just started using Protech about a month ago. I really like them, easy to shuffle, handle double sleeving @ none have split on me. There’s a bunch of different coulours to choose from and they are matte finish. Everyone I know who’s bought them loves them. I was introduced to them thru my LGS in Chicago!

Tournament approved and loving it — Took these to a regional event—zero issues with judges, and my deck felt great. Thick enough for protection but not so thick it overflows my deck box. I was skeptical at all the reviews since I figured they’re mostly people helping their friend get traction with the brand, but I wanted to give these sleeves a shot to support a local business. Let me tell you – these are hands down the best sleeves I’ve ever used. I previously used Ultimate Guard Katanas which are pretty good, but Protech blows them out of the water.
First off, the price of $9.99 is a steal for the quality. Katanas and Dragon Shield tend to be 50% more expensive than Protech and don’t live up to the price in my opinion. Protech is without a doubt better value and worth every penny to me.
I’ve always been a bad shuffler, especially with double sleeved decks, but Protech is the first sleeve that makes it feel so easy and fast. I have to use them more, but as of right now not a single card gets caught on the edge of another card like the Katanas. It’s just so buttery smooth and simple to shuffle with these sleeves.
My favorite part about them is how effortlessly I was able to add my perfect fit sleeved cards inside. With the Katanas, I had a lot of trouble getting them to the bottom of the sleeve without the perfect fit sleeve shifting upwards, but Protech is ever so slightly wider where it’s not an issue at all.
Another thing I immediately noticed is the backs having a great texture. It’s slightly grittier than the Katanas, which I love because my cards don’t slip from the deck pile as much. They’re also just more satisfying to feel.
Safe to say that I’ve found my new sleeve brand going forward.
